Designed to take you from zero to actively running +EV strategies, the bronze academy teaches you how to think about your trading like a professional.
It focuses on thinking in terms expected value and how professionals make money trading by providing real value and services in the market. After covering the basics of options and volatility, you will learn two strategies that capitalize on well documented risk premiums that you can implement today. Complete with trade journal requirements and tests, the bronze academy will equip you to start hunting for your own edge.
Topics covered include expected value, implied vs realized volatility, and strategy basics.
The silver academy teaches you how to think about your trading in terms of risk exposures (the counterpart to the expected value mentality from bronze). At this point you will see the full picture of how to think about volatility trading strategies.
You will learn how to view your trades in terms of their risk exposures and structure your trades to clearly express your ideas to the market.
Topics covered include option greeks, skew, trade structures, delta hedging, expressing views, risk management, and multiple trading strategies
This is where we turn things up a notch. The gold academy assumes that you have a strong grasp on option fundamentals and dives a level deeper into the world of forward volatility and term structure.
You will learn the intricacies of volatility that will allow you to think outside of the box and work through a series of content that will give you ideas about where to search for sources of edge.
Topics covered include volatility as synthetic time, trading illiquid products, relative value option pricing, constructing portfolios and improving sharpe ratios.
Our PhD level education. This assumes you already know pretty much everything about how options work and focuses entirely on how to find an edge. This level is entirely composed of trade case studies and strategy exploration lessons.
You will be exposed to real edges and analysis that are typically kept from other traders. This is a collection of previous edges we've traded and seen others trade.
Topics covered include coding for traders, how to build and backtest a strategy, and multiple examples of advanced trades that show you how all these concepts come together to help us find some serious alpha.
You get everything we learned from 10 years of working with professionals and finding our own edges.
The best information about volatility trading from across the internet combined with our own experiences is made readily available to you.
Every piece of information taught in the academy is meant to be used in the real world of trading. There is no “fluff”.
We have designed tests, assignments and challenges that help you bridge the gap between theory and practice. You’ll be challenged to implement trades, record your analysis and get feedback from our team.
To ensure your success, your academy progression includes 1-on-1 coaching calls with our founder Sean, who has personally coached hundreds traders since 2020.
These calls can be used to review concepts, break down trades or conduct research together!
We regularly host live interviews, lectures and panel discussions with trading professionals where they share their perspectives on how traders can find alpha.
